- 4 slicesWhite bread or sourdough
- 100 gSucuk (Turkish garlic sausage)(thinly sliced)
- 100 gCheese (e.g., mozzarella, cheddar, or Gouda)(grated)Milch
- 2 tbspHoney
- 0.5 tspChili flakes(adjust to taste)
- 1 tbspOlive oil
- 1 pinchFresh parsley(finely chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If you're using a toaster or pan, skip this step for now.
Lightly brush one side of each bread slice with olive oil.
Arrange the sucuk slices evenly on the un-oiled side of each bread slice.
Evenly sprinkle the grated cheese over the sucuk. Make sure the cheese covers the sucuk well.
In a small bowl, mix the honey and chili flakes until well combined.
Place the prepared toasts on a baking sheet (oiled side down) or in a toaster oven. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is golden brown. Alternatively, you can cook them in a pan over medium heat until golden and the cheese is melted.
Once out of the oven or pan, immediately drizzle the honey-chili mixture over each toast.
Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve hot.
