- 2 mediumfirm apples(such as Honeycrisp or Fuji)
- 50 gmarzipan raw mass
- 2 tspground cinnamon
- 1 tbspbutter(melted)Milch
- tbspchopped almonds(optional, for topping)
- tsppowdered sugar(for dusting, optional)
Instructions
Wash the apples thoroughly. Using an apple corer or a small knife, carefully remove the core from each apple, making sure not to cut all the way through the bottom. This creates a cavity for the filling.
In a small bowl, crumble the marzipan raw mass and mix it with 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon until well combined. The mixture should be a bit sticky and easy to form.
Divide the marzipan mixture into two equal portions and press each portion firmly into the cavity of an apple. Make sure the filling is packed in snugly.
Brush the outside of each apple with melted butter. Then, sprinkle the remaining 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon evenly over the apples. If using, sprinkle the chopped almonds on top of the marzipan filling.
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the prepared apples into the air fryer basket. Ensure there's space between them for even cooking.
Air fry for 15-20 minutes, or until the apples are tender when pierced with a fork and the marzipan filling is slightly golden and bubbly. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of your apples and air fryer model.
Carefully remove the baked apples from the air fryer. If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving. Serve warm, perhaps with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
