- 400 gCod fillets(or other white fish)
- 1 tspSalt(divided)
- 0.5 tspBlack pepper(divided)
- 60 gAll-purpose flour
- 2 largeEggs
- 120 gPanko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbspOlive oil(or cooking spray)
For the Lemon-Dill Dip
- 180 gGreek yogurt
- 2 tbspFresh dill(finely chopped)
For the Lemon-Dill Dip
- 1 tbspLemon juice
- 0.5 tspGarlic powder
- 1 pinchSalt(to taste, for the dip)
- 1 pinchBlack pepper(to taste, for the dip)
Instructions
Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with 0.5 tsp of salt and 0.25 tsp of black pepper.
Set up a breading station: Place flour in one shallow dish, beaten eggs in a second, and panko breadcrumbs seasoned with the remaining 0.5 tsp salt and 0.25 tsp pepper in a third dish.
Dredge each fish fillet first in flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it in the egg, letting any extra egg drip off. Finally, coat it thoroughly in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure they adhere well.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease the air fryer basket with olive oil or cooking spray.
Place the breaded fish fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don't overlap. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Lightly spray the tops of the fish with a little more olive oil or cooking spray for extra crispiness.
Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
While the fish is cooking, prepare the lemon-dill dip: In a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
Serve the crispy air fryer fish immediately with the fresh lemon-dill dip and your favorite side dishes.
