Chicken Wings
- 2.2 lbsChicken wings
Marinade
- 2 tbspOlive oil
- 1 tbspSoy sauce
- 1 tbspHoney
- 1 tbspSriracha sauce(adjust to taste for spiciness)
- 1 tspGarlic powder
- 1 tspSmoked paprika
- 0.5 tspGinger powder
- 1 pinchSalt(to taste)
- 1 pinchBlack pepper(to taste)
Instructions
Pat the chicken wings dry thoroughly with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving crispy skin.
In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, Sriracha, garlic powder, smoked paprika, ginger powder, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
Add the dried chicken wings to the bowl with the marinade. Toss them well to ensure all wings are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or ideally for 2-4 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd it. Cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 20-25 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are golden brown, crispy, and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Once cooked, remove the wings from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro or sesame seeds if desired.
