- 200 gUnsalted butter(softened)Milch
- 100 gWild garlic(fresh)
- 1 tspSalt(to taste)
- 0.5 tspBlack pepper(freshly ground, to taste)
- 50 gPine nuts
- 1 loafBaguette or ciabatta(about 300g)
Instructions
First, prepare the wild garlic: wash it thoroughly, shake dry, and chop finely.
In a bowl, combine the softened butter with the finely chopped wild garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined. You can use a fork or a small spatula for this. Set aside.
Heat a dry frying pan over medium heat. Add the pine nuts and toast them for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until golden brown and fragrant. Be careful not to burn them. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Slice the baguette or ciabatta diagonally into thick slices, but do not cut all the way through – the slices should still be attached at the bottom.
Generously spread the wild garlic butter between each slice of bread. You can also spread some on top of the bread.
Place the buttered bread on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the toasted pine nuts over the buttered areas.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the butter is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately and enjoy!
