- 200 gfresh kale
- 1 tbspolive oil
- 0.5 tspgarlic powder
- 1 Prise(n)salt(to taste)
- 1 Prise(n)black pepper(to taste)
Instructions
Wash the kale thoroughly and dry it very well. This is crucial for achieving crispy chips. Remove the thick stems and tear the kale into bite-sized pieces.
In a large bowl, drizzle the kale with olive oil. Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to massage the kale gently, ensuring every piece is evenly coated with oil and seasoning.
Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Depending on your air fryer model, this may take a few minutes.
Place the seasoned kale in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook the chips in batches. Overcrowding will result in steamed, not crispy, kale.
Air fry for 5-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Keep a close eye on the chips, as they can burn quickly. They are done when they are dark green and crispy, but not brown.
Remove the crispy kale chips from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute on a plate. They will crisp up even more as they cool. Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy snack!
