- 4 slicesbrioche bread(or thick-cut white bread)
- 120 mlmilk
- 1 largeegg
- 15 mlmaple syrup(or honey)
- 5 gcinnamon
- 1 pinchsalt
- 15 mlvegetable oil(for greasing)
- 30 gpowdered sugar(for dusting)
Instructions
Cut each slice of brioche bread into 3-4 equally sized sticks. You should get about 12-16 sticks in total.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated on all sides. Don't let them soak too long, just enough to absorb some liquid.
Lightly grease your air fryer basket with vegetable oil or spray. Arrange the French toast sticks in a single layer in the basket, making sure not to overcrowd it. You may need to cook them in batches.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model.
Remove the French toast sticks from the air fryer and dust them with powdered sugar. Serve immediately with additional maple syrup, fresh fruit, or your favorite toppings.
