- 900 gpotatoes(peeled and thinly sliced)
- 240 mlheavy cream
- 120 mlmilk
- 1 clovegarlic(minced)
- 0.5 tspsalt
- 0.25 tspblack pepper
- 0.13 tspnutmeg(freshly grated)
- 120 gGruyere cheese(shredded)
- 15 gbutter(for greasing)Milch
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the thinly sliced potatoes, heavy cream, milk, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Toss gently to ensure all potato slices are coated.
Layer half of the potato mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded Gruyere cheese over the potatoes.
Add the remaining potato mixture on top, spreading it out evenly. Top with the rest of the shredded Gruyere cheese.
Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Place the covered dish in the preheated air fryer basket.
Air fry for 25 minutes. Then, carefully remove the foil and continue to air fry for another 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown and bubbly. A knife inserted should go in easily.
Carefully remove the gratin from the air fryer. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow it to set. Serve warm.
