- 500 gchicken breast(cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 tbspolive oil
- 1 mediumonion(finely chopped)
- 2 clovesgarlic(minced)
- 100 gwild garlic(chopped)
- 200 mlchicken broth
- 200 mlheavy cream
- 1 tbsplemon juice
- 1 tspcornstarch(mixed with 1 tbsp cold water)
- 1 tspsalt(to taste)
- 1 tspblack pepper(freshly ground, to taste)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breast pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Stir in the heavy cream and lemon juice.
Add the chopped wild garlic to the sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes until it wilts. If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat through for 1-2 minutes.
Serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as rice, pasta, or roasted potatoes.
