- 2 mediumRipe Tomatoes
- 8 ozFresh Mozzarella (Bocconcini or Log)Milch
- 0.5 cupFresh Basil Leaves
- 2 tbspExtra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 pinchSalt(to taste)
- 1 pinchBlack Pepper(to taste)
- tbspBalsamic Glaze(optional)
Instructions
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into 1/4-inch thick slices. If using a mozzarella log, slice it into similar 1/4-inch thick rounds. If using bocconcini, you can halve them or leave them whole.
Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices alternately on a serving platter. If using bocconcini, scatter them among the tomato slices.
Tuck the fresh basil leaves in between the tomato and mozzarella slices, or sprinkle them generously over the top of the salad.
Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil evenly over the entire salad. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your liking.
If desired, lightly drizzle with balsamic glaze for an added touch of sweetness and tang. Serve immediately and enjoy the fresh flavors!
