- 450 gRipe Tomatoes(such as Roma or Beefsteak)
- 250 gFresh Mozzarella(Bocconcini or a large ball, drained)Milch
- 1 BundFresh Basil(about 30g)
- 2 ELExtra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Prise(n)Salt(to taste)
- 1 Prise(n)Black Pepper(freshly ground, to taste)
- ELBalsamic Glaze(optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
Wash the tomatoes and basil thoroughly. Pat the basil dry with a paper towel.
Slice the tomatoes into 0.5 cm (approximately 1/4 inch) thick rounds. If using a large mozzarella ball, slice it to a similar thickness. If using bocconcini, you can halve them or leave them whole.
Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices alternately on a serving platter. Tuck fresh basil leaves between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
Drizzle generously with extra virgin olive oil. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your liking.
For an extra touch of flavor, drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving. Serve immediately and enjoy the fresh Italian flavors!
